Our Projects

Our latest project undertaken at National Foods Aspindale was completed in early 2018 and took approximately six weeks to complete. There was the steel fabrication, installation and roofing to set-up as well as the building of a 15 meter x 100 meter steel structure. All work was done by Pat Dunn, Mark Futter and the in-house team.

Another two-month weighbridge project was completed in 2017, who needed further transportation and installation of the weighbridge which we were able to do. Once again in this project, we partnered with Nicholas Scale who provided the land sales, testing and calibration. We look forward to being contacted for other upcoming projects at Phi in the future.

2017 was our year of weighbridge projects and each project took two months to complete. At Lafarge we constructed concrete cases, fabricated steel frames and we partnered with Nicholas Scale who provided the land sales, testing and calibration. The client was very pleased with the final product and they found our quality and workmanship to be of the highest standards.

Over the past two years, Pat Dunn & Company has been contracted as one of the manufacturer’s and installers of the steel canopies for the ongoing expansion of Trek’s Service Stations in the country. To date we have successfully constructed the Avondale, Pomona, Samora Machel and Msasa petrol stations for this growing brand including one across the country in Bulawayo. Our quality and expertise is apparent and the reason why the client has kept coming back to us for each new project.

Trusted as the leading company to ensure a project comes in on budget and time, Nat Pack contracted Pat Dunn & Company to undertake two important projects.

A Lean To structure of steel was erected which took six weeks and a further six weeks where taken on the entire Nat Pack Extension. Both projects involved: Fabrication of Steel, Steel Installation, Cladding & Roofing. Concrete works, Slab and Brick Cladding. The clients where delighted with the speed, skill and quality of the finished structures.

Pat Dunn & Company was contracted to construct a new building to house the fitness center for the Curves Gym.

Time was of the upmost importance for the client and so the Imison building system was used in order to meet the tight deadlines. The project took fourteen weeks to complete, and in that time, a 288m² building was constructed using a combination of structural steel and Imison.

The building stands as a testament to the Company’s ability to deliver a project on time, on budget and on specification. It is the first Imison structure to be erected in Zimbabwe and is an example of how alternative-building technologies can be successfully employed to deliver a high-end building solution!

In 2015, Pat Dunn & Company was engaged by Thor Developments to fabricate and install the structural steel for the new malting plant facility in Lusaka.

From a technical perspective, this was one of the most complex projects undertaken by us, and we are happy to say we rose to meet the challenge, ensuring that the 148 tonnes of structural steel required, was delivered to Lusaka on time and on budget!

The iconic curved steel that frames the façade of the retailer’s Msasa branch is a prime example of the historic work undertaken by Pat Dunn & Company. It clearly demonstrates the company’s ability to produce architectural and decorative steel pipework.

In 2013 the Company was hired to manufacture and install the structural steel required for the construction of Bell’s Zambian head office, warehouse and service centre in Kitwe, Zambia.  The scale of the project was one of the largest that Pat Dunn had undertaken in its recent history, measuring 3,600m² and weighing 128 tonnes.

In 2014, the stock feed manufacturer embarked on a multi-million dollar expansion and renovation of their Ardbennie premises. From the outset Pat Dunn & Company  lead the Project Management team that supervised the construction of the new feed mill processing plant and accompanying silos.
